Superintendent's Message - April
April - June 2020
On Wednesday, April 1, 2020, Governor Gavin Newson confirmed that schools will remain closed through the end of the 2019-20 school year. Although our schools will be closed, we must remain patient and steadfast. Let’s do everything in our power to adhere to the health guidelines and to keep our children engaged in their learning!
One Team. One Vision.
#Team DUSD
We will continue to work hard and we will do all we can to help meet the fundamental needs of our students and families.
This is a time unlike any other we have ever experienced. But I strongly believe:
Together – We are going to see it through!
¡Juntos – Lo sobreviviremos!
On behalf of the DUSD family, thank you, parents and families, for your support. We have received many positive comments and many helpful suggestions. On a personal level, I am grateful for all the words of encouragement.
Thank you to our staff for your dedication, strength, innovation, and courage. You certainly have the right attitude, and I love your “Whatever It Takes!” attitude - all for our precious students at DUSD.
DUSD strongly recommends that all staff and community members continue to follow public health guidelines.
- STAY HOME.
- WASH YOUR HANDS.
- WEAR A MASK.
- BE SAFE!
Parents and families, if you need help, please reach out to us! DUSD has established a hotline to make it easier to connect with us: the number is 661-721-5000 extension 00600.
Let’s think in terms of mind, body, and spirit, and do all we can so to support and care for each other during this extraordinary time in our lives.
Together – we are going to see it through!
